Secret Script - Learn a language in 30 minutes

Interested in a language with an unfamiliar alphabet such as Greek, Hebrew, or Ukrainian? Secret Script will get you reading it in just 30 minutes*.

Just read the story on the page, and keep going as the letters slowly get replaced, and very soon you'll find you're seamlessly reading in the new alphabet.

After just 60 minutes of, for example, Greek practice, you'll be able to translate a sentence like: "ναρκισσιστικοί ελέφαντες στιγματίζουν γιγάντιους δεινόσαυρους" into English.

Four languages are available preinstalled, and you can add any other alphabet-based language by inputting the relevant English letters and their foreign counterparts (using pairs of letters to help overcome situations where there is no 1-2-1 correspondence). 

The default starting language is English, but you can also use it in French, German or - by adding your own story - in any other language. Therefore, this tool can help you adjust from reading in ANY alphabet based language, to reading using ANY foreign alphabet.

Super Script can also create a unique writing system just for you, so that you can exchange secret messages with friends without needing to use any software.

*More specifically - able to read and understand the sounds of each word, and if those words sound like English ones, understand the words too. Doing this fluently, and coping with unfamiliar capital letters may take a few hours, which nonetheless is extremely rapid. Having this core competence firmly under your belt will fast track your progress in learning the language itself. 

Note: Super Script is NOT a substitute for learning the language itself - it only provides an introduction to an unfamiliar alphabet. With some letters that lack an unambiguous 1-to-1 correspondence with English text, your progress in reading and interpreting those letters will need to be completed via further study - for example using Duolingo - however the point is that Super Script will have given you a rapid headstart.
